As part of its development, Walter Tools is looking for an Application Engineer – Machining (M/F/X), to be based in Luxembourg.

   You turn technical challenges into smart machining solutions!

   Your role: 
   Acting as technical expert, you support the Sales team in delivering total solution offers to customers, ensuring the technical fulfillment of solutions that meet their needs. You maximize and extend business opportunities within your scope of competency, on-site or remotely.

   To that end, you:

   • Deliver total technical solutions and sales support to end-customers and distributors, in close cooperation with Sales Engineers.
   • Join Sales Engineers on customer visits.
   • Support the introduction of new products and services, and recommend solutions that fit customers’ business needs.
   • Respond to complex technical questions and resolve technical problems arising during or after implementation.
   • Build effective working relationships with end customers and distributors.
   • Lead customer projects from start to finish alongside the Sales Engineer.
   • Contribute to business plans with Sales Engineers to help achieve market share growth and financial targets.

   Your profile:

   • Broad technical knowledge of metal cutting tools.
   • Strong competence in machining (turning, milling, hole making).
   • Structured, business-oriented approach, able to support a diverse and geographically spread team.
   • Ability to manage customer requests and business issues within a complex, global matrix organization.
   • Strong listening skills, able to translate customer and sales team needs into suitable technical solutions.
   • Knowledge of digital technologies in metalworking (Industry 4.0).
   • Fluent in English and German (spoken and written).
